Mostly, I agree with you about the “produced vs. not-produced” type of podcasts. I’m not a big fan of the stuff that’s made using services like Talkshoe (phone quality). We always do Hyper Nonsense episodes in the studio, with a mixer and microphones and the whole deal. Us doing 30 HN’s in one month would be a bad idea, so I did a lot of personal (Shawnogram) ‘casts using my iRiver, and some were even (literally) phoned in. I also agree with you that “content is king,” and ultimately, stuff that’s good will transcend the level of production quality. At the end of the day, there are lots of different approaches.
